I assume you mean the serpentine belt. The first thing to do is make sure you know how the belt goes around the pulleys. If you get that wrong it could spell disaster. If the routing sticker is missing from your Jeep there are plenty of places online to find this information. Ok now the fun part. There are two bolts on the back of the Power Steering pump that need to be loosened but do not remove them. On the lower right side of the power steering pump there is a long bolt that also needs to be loosened. Its hard to reach but a ratchet and socket can be used. The long bolt adjusts the tension of the belt.Once that is loosened there is a locknut on the bottom of the power streering pump that holds it in place. Its easy to find because it rides in a slot. Remove this nut and DONT lose it. Once this has been done you should be able to move the pump enough to remove the belt. It pivots so just keep working with it and be patient. Once the old belt is removed install the new one making SURE it is routed properly then retighten the bolts after you have the belt at the right tension.Start the vehicle and let it run listening for "weird" noises etc. Hopefully there wont be any. Shut the engine down and DOUBLE CHECK the belt routing. If all is good drive the vehicle for a few miles then recheck the belt tension. A new belt will stretch a little as it seats on the pulleys so the tension needs to be rechecked. Too loose bad, too tight equally bad. The exact specs for the belt tension are online if you wish to be that precise. I check the tension of the old belt before I remove it and if it seemed to be doing ok I remember the feel so I will know when the new one is correct. They do have a gauge that measures belt tension but who has one of those? Its not a major project but ifyou have a ten year olds hands that's a big plus.Hope this helped you.
