Requiem for a dream?

film starring jared leto, ellen byrstyn, jennifer connolly, and marlon wayans. im 14 years old and i should not have watched this film because it crushed me and it effected me badly, i cried the first time i watched it and i have been scared to even talk about that film incase me my mood changed. The man behind the counter in HMV said " do not watch this film unless you have a good sense of humor and/or you're happy ", but i ignored him, bad mistake. That film changed how people look at life, even as everything falls apart, they refuse to let go, plummeting into a nightmaring gut wrenching free-fall. <---- hows that for a discription of what the film holds, i am telling you now, to save your sense of humor, you must not watch that film untill you are 18 or over, because i watched it while i was only 14 years old, and i really wish i hadn't. The ending is what gives the film its memorable horroble ending, god it is horroble, when sara goldfarb sees herself on that show....... GOD! I have been looking hard for people who have watched that film so that i can discuss the problems i have with it. I am starting with the requiem for a dream book, written by hurbert selby. i am soo effected by this film that i have spent countless days on the internet looking at pictures of the film, and the actors. and even after i hate the film, the fact that i am obsessed with the film has made me wanna watch it more, but i have to get ahold of my self and do something else to disract the need to watch it, i find it hard to believe that it is just a film. The obession makes me wanna read the book, the last page of the book will be drenched with my tears lol. but the film is alot more worse than the book, because it is so vivid in the film, its soooooo tragic, i guess if i wasn't 14 years old watching and maybe i was 17 years old or 18, i would'nt have such an unhealthy obsession with the film.
