Well techinically Shakespeare had twins.....Hamnet and Judith. But after that until 1592 that period was called his "lost years" because no one really knows what happened to him. 1592 he showed up in London as a playwright. It is rumored that he became a school teacher, had a run in with the law, poached deer, and a few other things that no one can necessarily prove true.
William Shakespeare makes reference to a Dark Lady in his sonnets - but no-one knows who this dark lady is. (Shakespeare also appears to refer to Anne Hathaway in Sonnet CXLV). There may not even have been a Dark Lady: many sonnetteers at the time invented girlfriends to write poems about. We know that Shakespeare rented a room from George Wilkins early in his career. And we know that George Wilkins managed a brothel at around the same time. Perhaps William Shakespeare knew one of the working girls. (John Mortimer suggest this very convincingly in his 1977 series of TV plays William Shakespeare).
William Shakespear was married to Anne Hathaway, a woman 18 years his senior. However, it was rumored that he had multiple mistresses.

It is not written in history and is not specified. William Shakespeare's "lover" would probably be his wife, Anne Hathaway. They were married in 1582, and had 3 children, a daughter Susanna and twins Hamnet and Judith. It is rumored that Shakespeare had one illegitimate son, William Davenant, however other sources state that Shakespeare was merely Davenant's godfather. Davenant's mother was Jane Shepherd Davenant.

Shakespeare was married to a woman older than him, who didn't give him a male heir. They did have a son, Hamnet that died at a young age, after this heartbreak Shakespeare left his family in Westminster Abbey to become an actor and writer in London. He became successful and provided for his wife and daughters until he moved back home. It is rumored than when Shakespeare died he didn't leave anything to his wife. So his marriage deteriorated.
