Should a GeForce2 MX400 64MB video card work in an ASUS A7N8X-X MB 8xAGP or is there a voltage issue? |
[Edit] |
Answer
On that board there is a phyisical jumper on the motherboard that swiches between 4x and 8x agp that gforce card is a 4x natural 8x forced card meaning that it only will realy be used at a 8x speed in auto ajusting boards. you can download a bios flash for the a7n8x that will force your card to run at the 8x speed.
Answer
He asked about the voltage, not the multiplier. Newer motherboards require 1.5v video cards, and an older 3.3v model might fry the motherboard.
