it is not good for them to.if it is a pet and you have a tank/habitat for them to live in put a little pond like thing that doesnt cover the whole habitat/tank so they can have land to sleep on which is what they usually do.it is possible for them to drown while sleeping in water a whole night:)

∙ 11y agoNo, they are poor swimmers, and will drown. If forced to stay in shallow water, they will develop skin infections, just as you would.
