Try to reduce temperature first at home, after an hour or two, call the hospital and ask, they may not want the teen to come in until they've had the fever at least 4 hours. My daughter has a fever of 102.1 now and I will take her in if it doesn't go down in another hour. I'm a worry wart, she's only had the fever an hour. I say better safe then sorry.
