- Cell phones could be useful for 11 year olds but at the same time not. They can help maintain friendships and perhaps if they are lost they could contact their parents or the police for help but at the same time they are bad. This is because it can cause brain tumours.

∙ 13y agoI believe that you can give a 10 year old a phone as long as it's one that you can program yourself with the numbers for emergency contacts and a few friends. Disney makes a cell phone for kids called a firefly; it has a global positioning system to monitor where your kids are when they go out to play or hang out with friends. You have control over who is able to contact them and whom the child can contact.
