Should singles be allowed to adopt?

I strongly believe that single, therefore being women or men, should be allowed to adopt a child. Many people say that a single person can't deal with the stress and pressure, well that's all a bunch of crap because I am a single mother of two, have never had any support, however I have made time to be with my children ,as well as placed them in private schools. Yes, Indeed i work 50 hours a week, but I have staurday nights and Sundays to be with my children. I drive them to and from school everyday. Consequently, I am a very busy woman but have manged to set a schedule for myself and my kids. So I belive that if a single person is willing to become a parent by themselves that it is ok. That should be allowed anywhere!
