This is an opinion. Some people will say yes, while others say no. I would say yes, because there is always the possibility of getting attacked by an powerful force. In ancient times, all great empires, such as the ancient Roman Empire, all fell eventually, whether it took 500 years or 1000 years or even more. With a larger and more loyal army, the USA would have a better chance of surviving whatever fate is in store for the country.
