Yes, but that rule is not always followed in questions on this site because we are not supposed to use punctuation in questions, because the site isn't set up for us to use punctuation in questions. It is set up for us to be able to use punctuation in answers, though.
Yes there should be a period.
Yes, a period is written after etc. It should be --- etc.
One period. The period in etc. also functions as the period for the end of the sentence.
tampons if you are swimming etc but if in the bath, nothing :)
Yes you should always do that
Do I need to use a period after the abbreviation of the word etc.? What is the correct punctuation for ending a sentence with etc.?
Go to the bathroom and use toiletpaper, paper towels, and etc...
After all titles for example: Mr. Mrs. Dr. Rev. Ms.,etc.
yes
No one period is sufficient.
Examples: chemical symbol, atomic number, number of protons, group, period, etc.
Actually it should look like this (cars, airplanes, trains, etc.). But if the sentence ends with an abbreviation, the single period will serve to end the sentence, as in cars, airplanes, trains, etc. You do not use double periods. You can, however, use a question mark or exclamation point after a period that ends a sentence. Were you talking about cars, airplanes, trains, etc.? If this looks unusual, it is because abbreviations, such as etc., are generally avoided at the ends of sentences.
