You probably won't feel your baby kick until around week 16 and 22, even though the baby has been moving since week 7 or 8. You may have already witnessed these movements during an ultrasound. This is often felt as a fluttering feeling or a grasshopper walking across your belly during the first movements.
At first, you will not notice many kicks, and this is okay. One day you may notice the baby is quite active and feel no movement at all the next day. It is nothing to worry about until you have movement on a regular basis and should keep track. If you notice a lack of movement, you should contact your doctor soon (don't panic this doesn't mean you are having a miscarriage, just room for concern and you doctor may want to induce you early to protect the health of you and your baby).

∙ 20y agoMost likely not. Most women don't feel the baby move until at least 4 months. Some longer. It may just be gas bubbles you feel. A lot of women are more gassy when they are pregnant. If you are worried that you can't feel it move, don't be, you shouldn't be able to feel it move at 9 weeks.

∙ 17y agoYou should be able to still feel your baby move, but probably not as much as you have done in previous months, due to the lack of space in there for him/her. You should still have some movements though. If you haven't felt your baby move at all for a day or more, you should be contacting your midwife or Obstetrician.

∙ 15y agoI just wanted to add that by the ninth month of pregnancy there isn't a whole lot of room for the baby to move around. The baby should move some, but not as much.
My 1st didn't move a lot in the end, the doc said it was because I was getting close to labor. Every pregnancy is different, call the doc and ask her if she thinks it is normal for you.
