First of all, please don't. It's not worth it. Also, to answer the question, yes. For a couple of minutes it doesn't, but after that, there's a painful, stinging sensation. Again, please don't hurt yourself.

it will hurt ^ they are right, but to keep it clean make sure to put alcohol on it every other 2 days.

Hello, I have self harmed for a few years (stopped now).

I can tell you that slitting your wrists is pretty much always going to hurt, however, when i did do it on my wrists (along with other parts of my body) i did not feel as much pain because I enjoyed it. This was the reasoning be hind it, it was a means of escape for me...

So in conclusion, in order to slit your wrist painlessly is (in my mind) impossible, unless you have some form of anesthetic or if you like the pain.

Your skin, muscles, tendons, arteries, blood vessels, and even trachea are being split open. What do you think? Of course it is painful.

But it is only painful for a short time, because you will either bleed out and die from blood loss, or drown in your own blood filling your lungs.
