There are plenty of people who will tell you to never trust a recruiter. And I would have to agree with them. If your recruiter tells you something or promises you anything that seems awkward make sure you get it in writing, and have another person in the office sign it as a witness. Make sure you keep a copy of the paper for yourself. Recruiters can not guarantee your first duty station, or that you wont be deployed. Be cautious of those who do.
But all that aside, if the military is something you are interested go after it. It was a great experience.
