Social justice in the bible?

[Edit]

The book of James talks about true religion is taking care of widows and orphans. The Old Testament is full of this also: the prophets Elijah and Elisha helping widows, God telling Israel to take care of her widows in the law He gave them.

In the New Testament in the book of Acts, Paul took a large gift from some of the churches to Jerusalem to help Jewish believers and widows. There is more if you look.
