There can be no single answer to this question. Both companies make fine products. Both are innovators and introduce new and interesting improvements to products on a regular basis. With so little to choose between companies such as these, a choice between products of one or the other comes down to personal preference more than any other factor.
If you are buying a television, it is important to spend time to look at the image of each. The one that has the picture you prefer is the one you should probably be buying.
I personally think the Panasonic is better because it uses a SD card which is VERY VERY cheap and Sony products require a Memory Stick Pro Duo which can cost a LOT OF MONEY. For example, Panasonic requires a SD card which, if you buy it on Ebay, a 32gb SD card can cost only 5 dollars ( if you find carefully)! Sony products require a Memory Stick Pro Duo which if you buy a 8gb card can cost you roughly over 20 dollars! I highly recommend the Panasonic. (Sorry about my bad English) :)

The difference in preice between a song HDTV and a panasonic HDTV is around one hundred dollars. Sony usually runs a little higher because of their higher reputation.
Sony does make a very nice plasma t.v yet there are other brands that are just as good such as Samsung and Panasonic.
Although the Sony HT Ct100 has problematic connection jacks for its subwoofers many customers prefer it over the Panasonic SC BT100 Home theater system.
Yes, Panasonic does make blu ray players. Several, in fact. Panasonic is one of the top brands for blu ray players, alongside Sony, Samsung, Sharp, and Pioneer.
