Your Town Hall Questions
Re: Your Town Hall Questions
In the light of the news that Wikipedia is to restrict contributions is it likely that in the future WikiAnswers may follow suit? Perhaps, in an attempt at reducing vandalism it might restrict unregistered users by allowing them to ask but not answer questions?

Re: Your Town Hall Questions
Why is that sometimes you can get two contributors points for editing the wording or capitalisation of a question but you get only one point for answering it, surely answering the question should have more value than simply correcting the wording?

If I were to say, "It is too easy to become a supervisor, and if someone does, they get too much power right from the start before establishing a reputation of being trusted", how would you guys respond to that?

Re: Your Town Hall Questions
Is it right and efficient for some people to supervise large numbers of different categories, surely a relatively low maximum number, which would allowed more concentrated effort to be focused on a few areas, would be much better?

Re: Your Town Hall Questions
Given that WikiAnswers has a worldwide membership how is it possible to have any uniformity in dealing with posts, given that members from different cultural, racial and religious backgrounds may exercise widely different criteria when deciding whether a question which offends their personal beliefs or upbringing should be deleted or merged?

Following precedents set by the likes of Amazon and eBay is WikiAnswer likely to split in future into different regional sites such as WikiAnswer.co.uk and WikiAnswers.co.jp for example?

Are community assistants actually hired by Answers.com, or are they regular volunteers like everyone else.

Re: Your Town Hall Questions
Why when you ask a question on WikiAnswers are the words 'I' and 'me' generally automatically replaced with the word 'you?' For example a question such as 'Why do I hear voices telling me to kill people?' is likely to actually appear as 'Why do you hear voices telling you to kill people?' This can give rise to confusion and I have seen several answers which include word to the effect... I don't hear voices telling me to kill people!

These Qs refers more to the staff here on Wiki:
I've just found out that Community Assistants are paid, and that some aspects of Wikianswers is a profession in its own right
To those of us who are Wikiholics through and through, what would you say to those who may consider a future career in Wiki Corp. ? What tasks do the CAs carry out on the site
Some of the tasks carried out by the Senior Supervisors cannot be revealed to the rest of the community. Why the secrecy and confidentiality?
