amended birth certificates which are issued after the finalization of adoption vary in details from state to state. Although I have never seen one without ANY parents names on it, i wouldn't surprise me. They usually try and make it look authentic though so the adoptee sometimes doesn't even know they are adopted. Can you ask him? Mine lists my adoptive parents as my parents, there is no attending physcians signature, no time of birth or birth details like length, weight, etc. very minimal details. Very annoying.

Why would a birth certificate not have my parents names on it?

There are a couple reasons. One make sure it a state certified birth certificate and not a Certificate of birth from the hospital, these usually have your foot prints on them. Two could be an adoption matter. In either case this is a matter that should talk to your parents about.

Could an adopted child's birth certificate be changed so they would not be able to tell they were adopted?

Yes.When a child is legally adopted the child's original birth certificate is amended by court order. The birth certificate will then bear the surname of the adoptive parents and perhaps the child's first and middle name will also be changed.Adoption records are sealed by order of the court unless the involved parties have agreed to an "open adoption".More ContributionsYes it can, I'm adopted and my birth certificate has the names of my adoptive parents. AnswerYes it can, but the original birth statistics would be registered under Vital Statistics with the biological mother's name, but it may not show who the father is and some young unwed mother's may leave the space "father" blank or possibly even name another person as the father because they aren't sure who was the father. im adopted woppidi woop wah love santa Claus

How can you find your birth parents i was born in stephenville new foundland 1959?

To find your birth parents, you will need to do some snooping. If you have the date of your birth, you may be able to bribe someone in the medical records department of the hospital to look up births for that day and find out who gave birth. If only one woman gave birth and it was to a person of your sex, you could contact her if she is living. Depending on how long it was after you were born before you were adopted, you could check baptismal records in the various churches. If you have your adoption papers, it may have a birth certificate that has a file number. In the vital statistics office, that file number has a reference to the original certificate. The original certificate has the name of your birth mother on it. You chase down all leads and one might pan out.

Can you use your birth certificate to get into clubs?

What if child parents gave up child to a relative to raise and then the adoptive parents died how can that child prove that these were her adoptive parents?

If the child was adopted for real there should be papers signed by birth- and adoptive parents. The birth certificate is sometimes changed by the adoptive parents but not always. If the child was just handed to a relative and nothing was singed or they did not go to court for child support or there was no temporary custody signed, it gets trickier. Eye witnesses and people around could testify.

How do you know if your adopted if your parents won't tell you?

Find your birth certificate. But they probably will say they lost or can't find it so you will ask them to order one and they will say oops i forgot 100 times, but if you honestly suspect that you were adopted, you can get a blood test done, but only if you are above the legal age in your area. That and you need to compare it to something, which your parents most likely won't want to do. Or you could just ask them.

Can a original birth certificate be changed?

(This answer only pertains to the United States.) For non-adopted people, the answer is NO, the original birth certificate cannot be changed. However, in cases of adoption, original birth certificates are changed--or new "amended" ones are issued--to reflect the adoptive parents' information rather than that of the birth parents. In an overwhelming majority of states, these original birth certificates--the actual, truthful record of a person's birth--are then sealed from both public record AND from the individual for whom the birth certificate was issued. It is not uncommon for an adoptee's amended birth certificate to list entirely different information for time, place, and even date of birth from that on the actual (original) birth certificate/record, though this practice occurs far less frequently now than it did for previous generations. Another important note about altered/amended birth certificates: under post-9/11 laws, if a birth certificate was issued more than one year after the date of birth, the individual can, and likely will, be denied a U.S. Passport.

Could an adopted child's birth certificate or passport be changed of his father's name in Muslim laws?

By Islamic law you can not be adopted, just raised by another family staying on contact with the biological one. I suggest you ask an Imam about this or if the biological family agrees to it.
