One displeased customer is worse than 100 happy ones. Take the time to call their customer service number or mail them a letter. It might take more than one attempt to more than one office to get a response and then you can work up a dialogue to try to get the recipe back to what it once was. Keep a list of names and numbers of whom you contact and recontact them every month or so if they dont contact you.

The best way is to write to Kraft International Foods, which is based in Illinois. Nabisoc merged with Kraft, I think. I wrote them a letter today [May 20, 2008]. About a month or two ago, the Waldbaums Supermarket in the eastern Long Island town of Riverhead had a sale on Social Tea Cookies for $2.79. Instead of being excited, my instincts told me that something was wrong. I'm 46, and this is my favorite cookie of all time --- at least, it was. But I never recall Social Tea being put on sale in all the years I've grown up eating them. Well, my suspicions were correct. When I got home and bit into the first cookie I took out of the box, it tasted awful! The new cookie is so awful. I soaked the rest of the cookies in water and threw them out in the backyard for the birds. I wrote to Kraft and told them I wouldn't be buying Social Tea anymore until they return to the original formula of 30 years ago.
