Recycling helps save the earth. It helps by making nonrenewable resources last longer it also helps by lessening the need for renewable ones and by saving the soil from the pollution of it being sent to a landfill.

Recycling is so necessary because it saves the earth from using so much energy to make something they could just reuse the used energy all over again. Please recycle or by the year 2020, the earth will be a gigantic dump.

First of all, it's RECYCLING. Second of all, well. When people recycle it helps save trees because you reuse paper. And it just helps the planet by using less resources in every day life. People are encouraged to recycle just to save Mother Earth because every year, the Earth is worse than the year before. To help the Earth, carpool, and recycle. Save Water. Save Energy. And together, we will help to save our beautiful planet.

Recycling is important for so many different reasons. Materials that are able to be reused should be, because otherwise they go into a landfill, rotting slowly underground and doing no good; they actually do harm there because they leech chemicals into the soil, which tend to runoff and mildy poison our water.

When materials are reused, less new material has to be made, reducing the amount of harmful toxins, gases, and chemicals emitted by factories into the air we breathe and the water we drink.

But I'm only thinking of plastic and metals... What about paper? Paper and other wood products like furniture absolutely need to be recyled because several trees died for them to be made. Every time you cut down a tree, you reduce the level of oxygen in the air and increase the level of carbon dioxide, because the tree releases it when it dies, not to mention can no longer convert CO2 into oxygen. Increased amounts of CO2 in the air increase the greenhouse effect, making the atmosphere warmer and contributing to global warming. So if you recycle the paper that you use, you cut down on the need for more trees to be killed AND you help to cool our enviornment---or at least, help to heat it up less than we are already.

In any case, even if you (for some reason) don't believe in global warming, it's a crying shame to waste perfectly reuseable stuff, including but not limited to paper, plastic, aluminum, steel, iron, and glass. Recycle everything possible. It's a duty of people to be responsible for what they use, and to keep Earth as clean as it should be rather than to waste whatever it is you're throwing away.

Recycling is good for the environment. Just like eating carrots is good for your health. Same thing with Earth and recycling. Polluting damages the Earth.

Reusing items decreases the use of matter and energy resources and reduces pollution and natural capital degradation; recycleing does so to a lesser degree.
