The latest technology is that of pressing and forming "silk". Actually the material is a synthetic blend which, when treated, will hold the shape of the pressing die. Additionally, the machines assemble the flower in a prearranged fashion on the wire stem. In some cases, further treatment such as "dew" or "sunshine" are added to further enhance the look of the silks to "live" status.
