It is possible to bring charges and a suit for slander,if it was spoken, liable if it is written and malicious intent, but you will probaly need an attorney or para legal to file the papers, sometimes Judges get a little irritable if the papers filed in their court are not considered showing the proper respect for their court.

Will ophelia obey her father?

She agrees to her father's charge and will have nothing to do with Hamlet. Polonius has said to her, "I would not, in plain terms, from this time forth, have you slander any moment leisure as to give word or talk with the Lord Hamlet." At this point in the play (Act 1 Scene 3), he has not asked her to spy on Hamlet yet.

Why did shakespeare allow cassio and iago to live?

It's hard to say. Slander under English law was an offence, but chiefly settled by compensation if false. Scandalum magnatum or slander of state officials was punishable by imprisonment. But this did not apply to females who were slandered, which Thomas Starkie commented on in his Treatise on the Law of Slanderit cannot but be considered as a disgrace to this branch of the law that the reputation of females of every rank should be left exposed to imputations most odious offensive and mischievous though the skill and integrity of the lowest mechanic cannot be reflected upon with impunityTherefore Iago could not be prosecuted for any offense, though he might expect a dishonourable discharge from the post to which the Republic had appointed him. Ideas of rank permeate Shakespeare's plays. Deaths in the Tragedies result only from encounters between people of equal rank. There is no one of Othello's rank, so he is seen to kill himself. The death of Iago, a man taken to be of a lower rank, would be seen by the contemporary audience to be of little interest or actually to lessen the impact of the deaths of Desdemona and Othello.

Benedick Beatrice and the Friar are Heros strongest supporters With Leonato they plan to?

When Hero is publicly traduced by Don Pedro and Claudio, her friends and relatives react differently. Beatrice helps conspire to fake Hero's death, so she will not have to live with the shame. She also encourages Benedick to "Kill Claudio" and he accordingly challenges him to a duel. Leonato challenges Don Pedro. Once Claudio and Don Pedro are faced with the evidence that they have wrongfully accused Hero, Leonato forgives him but charges him with a penance. He also asks Claudio to marry his "niece" but, with the connivance of Beatrice and the other women, it is Hero who shows up at the altar.

Why is Judge Judy so harsh?

In part, she tries to run her TV show the way a real court would operate; testimony must be direct and in response to questions. This is far more strict (and realistic) than some other court shows on television, which permit litigants to tell long stories containing lots of irrelevant, unprovable details, slander and doubletalk. Second, she uses intimidation as a tactic to get litigants to perjure themselves. Once she catches them in their own lies, she can make a ruling without having to dig into a lot of details. Finally, she really has little patience for fools, and none at all for crooks. In many cases, she has a pretty good idea of what the litigants were trying to do, by reading their complaints and police reports, before hearing their testimony. She has seen just about everything in her career and she understands human motivation, so she can tell if one or both of the litigants got into their situation by trying to do something illegal or underhanded. She will usually question individuals like that aggressively from the outset.
