actually therr are maria (planes) and creators (hilly hills) and there is water its iceat the poles...

Since Earth and Luna (Earth's moon) are so closely related (often thought of as a single system), there are an uncountable number of effects, but the three most noticeable are probably the tides, the small pertubations in Earth's orbit around the sun (these are both gravitational effects) and the variations in light on the dark side of Earth related to the phases of the moon (plus, of course the occasional solar eclipse).

The moon causes the Earth's oceans to have tides. There are several differ types of tides. There is the spring tide is when the Sun, Moon and Earth are in a straight line. A neap tide is when the Sun, Earth and Moon are at a right angle.
