supercontinent cycle
Gondwana and Laurasia
Laurasia and Gondwana.
The two halves of Pangaea are. Pangaea split in two roughly 200 million years ago.
Pangaea is a "super continent." Pangaea is all seven continents together. Alfred Wegner is the person that made the continental drift theory. No one believed him until years after he died they found proof that he was right.1. They found the same animals and plants fossils in different continents.2. They fit perfectly together, like a puzzle.3. Rocks on two continents look exactly alike.
Pangaea. But this was just the most recent of the super-continent agglomerations. There may have been at least two previous super-continents that eventually broke up and then re-formed in a different association.
Pangaea was caused by the moving of the continents and slowly the continents are moving right now so, probably... just think about it...
Laurasia is one of two continents (the other being Gondwana) formed when Pangaea split into two sub-continents, due to plate tectonics.
laurasia and gondwanaland
Actually, Pangaea was all the continents smashed together. But, the two continents that broke apart after Pangaea was created were named "Gondwanaland" and "Laurasia".
Gondwana and Laurasia
When the continents were one big land mass it was called Pangaea, the great land mass of Pangaea split in two creating, Laurasia and Gondwanaland.

Laurasia and Gondwanaland
There is no true answer, as Pangea split into two smaller continents: Gondwana and Laurasia. North America was a part of Laurasia while South America was a part of Gondwana.
When Pangaea split in two, there where two island landmasses. The Northern landmass was Laurasia. The Southern landmass was Gondwanaland.
Pangaea broke up into Gondwanaland and Laurasia over 200 million years ago.
