The standby light on my Hitachi LCD TV flashes from red to blue for several minutes at 3am when no programmes have been booked very annoying?

The red light on your Hitachi LCD television indicates that the television is in standby. The blue light means that the television is on. The on, blue light will blink when the television is receiving a signal from the remote control. Chances are that the remote was sending a signal at 3 AM to the television. Check to make sure that the batteries are good and the power button is not stuck.
