[Edit]
Established in 1972, Thomas Edison State College is one of New Jersey's 12 senior public institutions of higher education and one of the oldest schools in the country designed specifically for adults. The College provides flexible, high-quality, collegiate learning opportunities for self-directed adults and offers degree and certificate programs in more than 100 areas of study.
The college has the appropriate regional accreditation, and is recognized by all other accredited colleges and universities, as well as employers. It is not an on-campus experience, but through the awarding of credits based on life experience, or through distance, or online course work. Many of my colleagues have their degrees from this school, and were very satisfied with the educational quality.
