trying to stay awake is very hard to do if your accustom to going to sleep at a certain time. because your brain adjusts to a sleep pattern. tips to staying awake would be sitting up. lying down only makes you fall asleep faster. being focused on something that makes you think. keeping your brain stimulated can keep you awake longer than you think. playing a game or constructing something is helpful. occasionally getting up and stretching can help you stay awake. you could always go with caffiene from soda or coffee but these usually only allow temporary help though because when you crash you almost always want to go to sleep. remember to sit up straight. don't slouch or allow your self in a position for too long.
