This question isn't quite detailed enough for me to come up with a good answer, but if you're asking if people can build tolerance to Adderall the answer is yes, very much so. Almost all prescribed people who take it regularly, AD/HD or not, build some tolerance to it. This isn't to say that everyone becomes addicted to it because addiction and tolerance are not the same thing. If you're careful in your tapering process and never use more than a doctor prescribed AND you're fully honest with your doctor, you'll probably build a slow tolerance but be able to avoid addiction.

The answer is definitely "yes." Your brain actually develops a tolerance to Adderall by creating more receptors. Once you develop a tolerance, the Adderall becomes less and less effective. You can overcome the tolerance temporarily by increasing the dose but, in time, your brain will also develop a tolerance to the new dose.

It would obviously depend of the dosage. Taking 6 5mg Adderall would be the same as taking 1 30mg Adderall. So, to just say "8 Adderall" can be anywhere from 40mg to 240mg. It also depends on tolerance. If you have little or no amphetamine tolerance, I would not exceed 20-30mg in 1 dose. If your amphetamine tolerance is through the roof, you could probably handle a very large amount. This is not "safe" though, being that large doses of amphetamines can cause long term cardiovascular and psychological damage.

Adderall XR lasts longer. The XR stands for extended release and lasts around 8-12 depending on the consumer, mg, & tolerance. Generic Adderall which is actually Adderall IR (Instant Release) only lasts for a few hours (about 4 depending on the mgs) because Adderall XR is made from 2 different "beads" which one type releases automatically n the other type releases in about 4 hours so in the end Adderall xr lasts about 8 - 12 hours. When you pay for the Adderall XR you are paying for the extended release feature. SO Adderall XR lasts longer than Adderall IR.

Adderall and Wellbutrin typically work very well together. I myself took 150mg Wellbutrin XL and 90mg Adderall XR, it worked fine. It's more common to adjust the dose of Adderall, because the body does build up a tolerance.

I'm no docter, but i heard that if you have more calcium than magnesium in your diet than there's a higher chance of you developing an unwanted tolerance to your ADHD medication.
