Check power to window switch. Common cause. Check power to window motor. If none then check fuses/relays.

The 1997 Ford Explorer power window fuse can be found in the fuse box. The location of the fuse will be listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.
You can troubleshoot problems with your pa system speaker by restarting the electricity source. www.homerecordingconnection.com has good information too. You will fist need to determine if you have power to the PA system. If you have power but no sound, make sure all connections are secure, and correct.

The owners manual shows a 30 amp fuse in the power distribution box in the engine compartment that is used for the power locks/power windows/ and power seats on the 1996 Ford Explorer.
it is possible on the 1995 Ford Explorer that a burned out fuse will cause the power windows to stop working. Check the power window relay in the engine compartment relay bank near the battery or the power window fuse in the fuse panel on the driver's side of the interior.
For a 2002 Ford Explorer, the 30 amp circuit breaker in location #62 of the power distribution box in the engine compartment is the power window circuit breaker. (unfortunately in the 2002 owner's manuals it is labelled accessory delay ) later years are labelled as the power window circuit breaker.
intermitting problem with no power at drivers door
Check the switch first by bypassing if the others work. Start there.
Bad motor? bad switch?
