I signed up to Wiki answers primarily to help collectors, owners, and shooters of Browning Auto 5 shotguns. I collect Auto-5's and have been studying these guns for over 25 years. I'm glad to give information on any or most of the Browning questions. Most questions are about value of a particular gun, however it is impossible to accurately appraise a firearm without seeing it. In most cases I will provide a ballpark value for those questions, but as the case with all collectables, it is best to have a professional appraise the item.

I am one of a handful of A5 specialists in the Country, a true historian and "so called expert" of the Auto-5. That being said, even I am still learning about these guns, and could be challenged eventually. Probably my most popular contributions on Wiki so far, has been dating the Belgian and American made A5's. Only a few people in the country can accurately date the American Brownings guns. I can answer all questions concerning years, specifications and details of these guns. I can help with other guns as well but I am not as much an expert of other models as I am with the Browning Automatics. I am happy to answer any Browning history questions as well.

Recently I signed on as a WikiAnswers Co-Supervisor for the Browning section of Firearms; This being the case I will try to answer Browning questions on models other than the A5. I will be reviewing questions and answers in the Browning section, and hope to straighten out many of the non-questions that we see on these pages. Questions that are too broad for a reasonable answer, will likely be kept with an explanation of the additional information needed. If you find that I made an edit change to your answer, I am more than happy to discuss it with you; I wish to avoid those changes and provide optional data in the discussion page as much as possible.
