I'm a computer software engineer, and I'm curious about just about everything in natural science. I'm an avid hiker, but my style of hiking is more about observing nature and being in natural places than about conquering mountain peaks.

My Web site is www.HikingWithChuck.com.

Now that I'm a supervisor, I want to make something very clear to other prospective supervisors: I do not feel any clinging "ownership" of the many (many, many, many!) categories for which I have accepted responsibility. If you would like to be supervisor on WikiAnswers, please do not be discouraged by the fact that your favorite category is "already taken." By all means, you can take it from me.

I am indeed very curious and highly interested in these subjects, and I have some passing knowledge in most of them. (And of course, one need not be particularly knowledgeable on a subject in order to supervise a WikiAnswers category. Being interested enough to care is much more important.) But I'm sure there are people out there who have greater expertise and greater enthusiasm for some of these subjects than I.

If that is you, please do volunteer to be a WikiAnswers supervisor, and feel free to request responsibility for any of the subcategories that are currently "mine."

Not that I"m complaining about the supervisory workload, mind you. I just don't want to get in anybody's way. We can all enjoy sharing our time and energy making WikiAnswers as good a resource as it can be.
