Craigle lives in Africa. He has two species of buck, wild pigs, vervet monkeys, mongoose, bushbabies and civet living on his rather overgrown property. He has recorded 72 species of birds, from huge Crowned Eagles to tiny Malachite sunbirds.
If you have a map, look here. -29.776559 South, 30.807933 East
There are lots of creepy crawlies too - Bush Snakes, Black Snake, Monitor Lizard and so on. Laura will be interested in the frogs, but sadly the hungry Night Adders keep them down to a dull roar. There are over 300 plant species, including 80 plants that can be used for medicinal purposes.
Despite the prolific zoo and bot its a quiet place, disturbed mainly by the Emerald and Red Chested cuckoos calling and calling and calling. And calling.
Craigle makes a living doing organisational restructures. Its interesting work. Its because he thinks.
Todays words to think about are solipxist, uxorious and palimpxest.
He plays by writing software, typically website back ends in PHP and MySQL. And he sings and dances. Though not at the same time - its classical choir singing and ballroom dancing. Both parties frown on crossover combined singing and dancing.
And he dabbles in genealogy. He's genetically 25% Scot, 25% Iroquois and many fractions of other bits and pieces, mainly from chilly places in north-western Europe. Theres also a tiny bit of warm sunny Indonesia and India due to some slave ancestors 12 generations ago.
He's done a few years in the army, is active in politics, has a gorgeous daughter, drives an Audi. The furthest he has ever been from home is San Francisco.
His last holiday was two wonderful weeks on Goree Island, Dakar, Senegal.
