I joined WikiAnswers on 18 November 2006, having found the site through a search engine. I will pitch in and contribute as much as my busy schedule will allow. I am no stranger to the wiki system, as I have participated heavily in Wikipedia, as well as Wikimapia (an online atlas collaboratively marked and annotated by contributors). I like the wiki system and see it as a powerful tool for making knowledge free - a cause I passionately believe in.

I come from New Zealand. I spent my first 15-16 years in Wellington and the Kapiti Coast, before moving to Auckland in 1981. Apart from one year in Birkdale, I have lived in the Browns Bay/Albany region ever since. I have been married to Yeon-Kyung, a Korean immigrant, since 1996, and have one son. I have been teaching English to Asian immigrants since 1991. I am a born-again Christian and send my son to a Christian school in Orewa. I generally follow centre-right politics.
