Hello folks,

I know that there are certain people who will be angry about this letter, however, I've reached a point where I feel no choice but to write this.

Since before I became a supervisor on this site, I have been dealing with a site supervisor in the Judaism category. In my dealings with him, he has violated a number of the site guidelines with seemingly no repercussion. In my initial interactions, it was related to attempts to edit some of this answers regarding Judaism to correct factually incorrect claims he included in his answers. Later on, incidents also came to include his taking exception to completely separate answers that dared to contract his. This supervisor has repeatedly acted in a manner that shows he believes that he owns the questions and answers that he posts to. Both his remarks to me and other site contributors have been those of a classic bully. One just has to review the many notes on his message board from supervisors and contributors alike to see how far reaching his behaviour is.

Now, at this point you may be wondering to yourself why I am posting this here. Well, unfortunately, it has been both my personal experience and the experiences of others, including both supervisors and regular contributors as relayed to me, that going through the normal channels results in no change to his behaviour. Instead, at least one senior supervisor has displayed nothing but blind support of this supervisor to the point of parroting his remarks. Complaints sent to this same senior supervisor and also mailto:communityadvisor@wikianswers.com have been outright ignored with no response whatsoever.

As a result of this ongoing abuse with no repercussion, I have decided that I must take a break from participating on this site in protest. To my fellow supervisors who have contacted me in private to express support for my fight to date, thank you and I hope that we remain in contact even while I don't directly participate on this site.
