My name is David Locklear. I visited my first commercial cave in Montana - Lewis & Clark Caverns in 1969, and by 1979, I had visited over a dozen show caves in 5 different states.

I was an active member of the Aggie Speleological Society from 1984 to 1993. I was an active member of the Greater Houston Grotto from 1991 to 1996. I have travelled extensively in the Sierra Madres of northern Mexico. I travelled the Volga River from Moscow to St. Petersburg, and toured the museum in Helsinki, Finland in 1992. I have been thru the Panama Canal, and to a village there in the Darien Jungle where I met Choco Indians and Cuna Indians. I have been to Ambrigris Caye in Belize, and Copan in Honduras, and Quirigua in Guatamala.

I have toured 4 show caves in Mexico, about 30 across the U.S., and 1 in Panama.

My favorite caves are the river caves in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. But my very favorite is "Grutas de Tolatongo," near Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo.

I joined the National Speleological Society in 1987 with a life membership. I have attended 7 recent NSS Conventions.

My daughter, Cavepearl, will soon be 4 years old.
