I work in the IT industry in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. I studied at the University of Cape Town and my courses studied are all subjects of my interests. As one of my hobbies, I continue investigating most aspects of nature - notably Geology, Biology, Astronomy and of course Environmental Issues.

My hobbies are all related to outdoor activities - hiking, running, swimming, geocaching, rock-climbing, sometimes cycling and most definitely photography. I have not been climbing for some time now but really look forward to the opportunity again.

My wife is also an outdoors person, she runs her own business doing landscaping. At the moment, she offers the full service from design through to implementation, and going forward is looking at focusing her work on consultation.
