I grew up in Michigan; went to college in Utah; and served a mission in Venezuela. Now I live in Oregon, and I really love it here. I've worked in a laundry, a stadium, a cafeteria, a park, a high school and a blood bank. I really love the work I do now for the American Red Cross.

I am married with two children: a seven-year-old daughter in the second grade and a four-year-old son in kindergarten. My daughter is just learning to read, but her favorite thing to do at school is to cross the monkey bars and ride the hang gliders. She has built up some tough calluses on her hands. she has a green belt in taekwondo, and she is looking forward to becoming a brownie Girl Scout in the fall. My son loves to sing to me the songs that he learns at school. He finished his first year of t-ball and is looking forward to his first year of soccer.

My husband took me to Hawaii this spring (2009) to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. I think Hawaii must be the most beautiful place on earth. I don't need to vacation anywhere else ever again. I want all my vacations to be in Hawaii.

I participated in the AnswerThon in October 2009. I thought I was doing awesome. I answered 108 questions! Then the winners were announced. Third place went to someone who answered more than 800. I'm never going to match anything like that :(

I became a floating supervisor in November 2009. At that time, my greatest interest was in the taekwondo and Olympics taekwondo categories.







Eight months after becoming a floating supervisor, I graduated from the mentoring program in July 2010. I'm still very active in the Oscars category. I'm still trying to watch all 60 of last year's nominated films.
