"Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something" ~ Plato

Who is this "Ilovecatz1234" person?

I am a friendly being who loves WikiAnswers and I'm from Virginia. I am a proud Democrat! (I know, I know, I'll get some comments on that, but hey, we're all entitled to our own beliefs). I love the subjects of Science in particular Astronomy, Chemistry, and Genetics. I am a straight 'A' Honor Roll student in High School who aims at my highest. I laugh at my own jokes, because they're funny. ;) I am told that I am humorous, but my humor tends to have a sarcastic edge to it... Hehehe. I aim to hold a career in ophthalmology, neurology, or law. My very, very, very favorite sport is soccer and I am very good at it. I play soccer year-round and my favorite team, regarding the World Cup, is Germany and Brazil. :) I've been playing for about 11 years now! I speak 2 1/4 languages and love cats. (Bet you couldn't of guessed that). I have 2 cats; one 11 year old orange tabby named Sparkie and an 8 month old kitten named Shimmer. (A grey tabby). I play the piano, yet not an expert. I love books and I love to read. I guess I'm a bibliophile! You can generally find me reading, drawing, biking, playing soccer, listening to music, doing homework, or on WikiAnswers! I firmly believe that every being must help keep the Earth clean, help other beings, make an impact, and aim to our very highest. I also believe that war is not a choice let alone an answer to any question. Another one of my many beliefs is that religion should not cause wars, since the lives of beings are jeopardized simply because two forces disagree over a small thing like personal religious thinking. Overall, I am described as; funny, smart, wise, reliable, responsible, awesome, athletic and friendly. I would like to give a shout out to Jim Jimmers, a fellow Virginian, who was always open to anything you had to say. Also, a shout out to *reads small notecard*...I can't read this handwriting...oh yes, THE TheGiraffeNinja, for being a nice and helpful Giraffe, or is it Ninja? Additionally, I'd like to thank Techie2013 for being a great person to talk to, as well as to give and to recive advice from. Techie is also a dedicated WikiAnswers Supervisor like TGN and Jim. Who could forget... Joeis2cool4u? A humorous guy who loves WikiAnswers! I've met so many other kind people on this site! *Puts up hands* I surrender! I'm a WikiHolic!

Well, now you know more about the person known simply as

Here is a drawing of Spottedtail and I, giving each other high-5's. :D

Here is a drawing of Sci-man and I high-fiving eachother. I know, I'm not too creative when it comes to actions the people are doing. x-)

Here's a watercolor I did of a vase of flowers. What I enjoy about this is that it isn't meticulous and perfected, it's a little messy! :)

Here's a cartoon adaptation of Katniss Everdeen I drew, from The Hunger Games.

More coming soon!

Book Corner

I'll take up some of my Profile talking about books I really enjoyed. Consider reading them yourself! (For Teens, mostly)

The Hunger Games
Suzanne Collins
Middle, High Schools and beyond
I know you've heard about this title! The Hunger Games series makes it *easily* onto my top 5 list of my favorite books of all time. Great adventure, a hint of romance, and a lot of edge-of-your-seat suspense that will keep the pages turning- and turning- and turning. :) I believe this book will become a classic of sorts. Follow Katniss and Peeta on countless adventures that require their lives to be put on the line.

The Maximum Ride Series
James Patterson
Middle School
I read this in Middle School, but I still enjoy the action. So let me give you the run down; there are 6 members of a group (flock) that each have been injected with human/avian DNA at birth. They all can fly and have superhuman strength. Follow them on their suspense-packed adventures with a drop of romance as they fight off the cruel people who did this to them. :) A real page turner! The last book comes out next August.

Percy Jackson and The Olympians
Rick Riordan
Middle School
I read the series once, and loved it! I've been meaning to reread them all. If you like mythology, this is the series for you. Spottedtail, it's been rumored, knows a lot about the series... ;)

Harry Potter
J.K. Rowling
Middle, High School
How could I forget Harry? This instant classic keeps readers on the edge of their seats through all of Harry's 7 years at Hogwarts; battling out opposing forces (such as He Who Must Not Be Named). J.K. Rowling has written a classic to be! A must-read in my opinion for anyone.

Tamar; A Novel of Espionage, Passion, And Betrayal
Mal Peet
Middle, High School
Anyone who likes historical fiction will love this book. Based in Holland during Wartime, follow the dangerous adventures of two soldiers in their struggle to save their country. The book is partially fictional, but has a realistic feel. The author crafts the book in such a way you can find yourself in the character's shoes.

The Mortal Instruments Series
Cassandra Clare
Middle, High School
As said by some critics, this series is reminiscent of the Harry Potter masterpieces. Enter the world of Shadowhunters, werewolves, vampires, and more- but in a modernized setting. (This series is not like Twilight, I promise!) It's full of action, adventure, magic, and some romance. Follow the Shadowhunters in a struggle against opposing forces.
A suspenseful, great read.

The Maze Runner
James Dashner
Middle, High School

Imagine waking up and having absolutely no recollection of anything that's ever happened to you. On top of that, you wake up in a whole new world, where everyone else is in the same situation. You don't know who you are, how you got there, and no one knows how to escape the Glade. (The area they live in is named The Glade). Beyond the walls of the Glade stands a Maze. A Maze that is essentially unsolvable. The Gladers believe if they can figure out the Maze, they can be freed and have their memory restored by the people who put them in the mess. This is a great read, full of suspense. :) The third book was recently released.

Divergent
Veronica Roth
Middle/High

Hunger Games fans... Look here! This book is reminiscent of The Hunger Games and is full of suspense and action. To summarize, when you reach the age of 16, you must choose a faction to devote your life to. There are 5 factions of honesty, bravery, intelligence, peacefulness, and the selfless. Follow Beatrice's journey to find who she is, the dangers that she faces, and which faction she devotes her life to. I recommend this book greatly!

The Outsiders
S.E. Hinton

This book was vivid in detail and touching. It was full of action and suspense, at the same time taught a valuable lesson. A novel I'd recommend to anyone, The Outsiders made me tear up, laugh, and really think. The ending was simply amazing! The way the author tied it up is wonderful. The book takes place in the 60s, I presume. At the time, Ponyboy lives in a city atmosphere where rivalries aren't news. There are basically the Greasers and Soc's. The Soc's are the high end rich kids, and the Greasers are the low income folks. Ponyboy is caught up in the violence that confronts their lives and realizes that fighting 'don't solve nothing' and they really aren't that different. The language of the book is quite interesting as it's set before our time. In two words, entertaining and thought-provoking. :)

Some Other Great Reads...

The Tomorrow Code- Brian Falkner (High School)
Miss Spitfire- Sarah Miller
The Alchemist- Michael Scott
The Book Thief- Markus Zusak (High School)
Alex Rider Series- Anthony Horowitz (Middle School reading)
The Recruit- Robert Muchamore
Gone- Michael Grant
The London Eye Mystery- Siobhan Dowd (Late Elementary)
The Westing Game- Ellen Raskin
The Giver-Lois Lowry
Eggs- Jerry Spinelli (Elementary)
Oliver Twist- Charles Dickens

...
And about ten or so I probably forgot to list! :D

As you can see, I love books...
I always have three or four lying around and about 20 on my "Next To Read" list. If you have any suggestions, please tell me! I'd be happy to check it out.
