Hello,

I am currently a high school student in New Zealand. I have a strong interest in medicine, health and Pre Hospital Emergency Care.

My interest in oncology and medicine has led me to commit myself to advancing cancer treatments, and hopefully find a cure when I become a doctor. While this may sound slightly far fetched, I am absolutely devoted to making my goal a reality.

I am the Founder and Director-General of the Go and Manaena Biomedical Institute of Research and Technology (GAMBIRT). Please visit http://www.gambirt.org if you would like to find out more about the organisation.

I am a member of St John in New Zealand and actively volunteer with this service by doing medical duty at various recreational events (concerts, sports tournament etc), as well as instructing junior members clinical and healthcare practices.

As a Supervisor of the WikiAnswers Community, I am here to help everyone by answering their questions, giving advice and assisting in the running and maintenance of WikiAnwers in general. I am most active in the Health, Science and Relationships categories.

If you have any comments, please feel free to leave a message on my message board or if the matter is confidential you can email me at: johann.go @ wikianswers . com (without spaces).

Disclaimer: Even though I have experience working with ambulance personnel during emergency first aid situations, I am not a qualified medical doctor. My answers should be taken as a guide not as a substitute for medical advice. If in doubt, always seek medical guidance.

NB: I am not actually an Emergency Medical Technician. It was the closest occupation I could select to an Emergency First Responder.
