I'm a retired man in England, so I'm quite a distance from most of you, I imagine.

Over the years I've travelled widely in many parts of Europe. I've also visited the U.S. five times but mainly just as a tourist.

Before retiring I taught German at one of the British universities, but my interests are wider than this. Hobbies include: modern history, collectables (yes, that's the British spelling) and travel.
