Many people asked, "Why the name Kooikeria?"

This name derives from the word "Kooikerhondje" and "scientia".

The Kooikerhondje (pronounced quoi-ker-HON-jer) is a rare Dutch spaniel-type dog (the one shown in the manip above). They are not one of my favourite breeds (the Border Collie and the Labrador Retriever), yet the Kooiker definitely ranked on my "top 10 favourite dog breeds" list. I also like cats and my favourite breeds include the American Curl and the Domestic Shorthair.

As for scientia, it is the word that "science" originates from and it means "knowledge" in Latin. I have a strong passion for science and I will love to supervise categories related to science as my understanding of it increases.

I would like to get a dog one day, and one of these would be ideal:

Just kidding. XDDD Although a Lab would be nice.

Besides being a dog and science lover, I enjoy reading, drawing, and is interested in Greek and Egyptian Mythology and Ancient Greece.

I am also a supervisor here and I am most active under the "Dog Breeds" category, which I supervise myself.
