I think that one of the worst things a person can do is to lead someone else down the wrong road, (especially the Bible questions, or anything remotely associated with the Bible or God ) which even if with good intentions, is lying to them.
Getting back to the Bible reference, well intentioned answers are like well intentioned lives, they can be both wrong, though only one of these really matters. A soul is invaluable and an answer, is for the most part, a temporary intellectual aid. People and their souls are eternal, living eternity in heaven or hell, and life is too short to lie purposefully to anyone. Plus, I have been told that I am too "stupid" to pull the wool over anyone's eyes for long anyway, and I like it that way! It is more of a personality thing than an intellegence thing, as deception is a talent that I never tried to master, thank God!
I prefer to say what I know or believe, as well as any or all of the theories that I think might have truth in them. Instead of filtering through these theories for the wisdom nuggets, I prefer to give it to them straight, as straight as I heard it, regardless of how weird it sounds! If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything like a child in the rip tide.
Don't get me wrong, 99.9% of the time, you will catch me being good and factual, but if I hear a really possible and probable theories that are all but confirmed, I seriously consider them to be nigh unto the gospel truth, even if they don't have anything to do with evangelization.
PetenCo once called me a "young pup" because he graduated from college before I was born! I am 21, and I enjoy video games, typing (joke), basketball, anime, theology, fantasy books, working out, listening to music of all kinds, from classical, contemporary christian, and the modern stuff too, with the exception of the incoherent style of rap.
I am a former English major, and though I lack the degree, I still hate when I see bad grammar or something that doesn't make complete sense. This, regretably, is the case a lot of the time, as people often rant, even me, without abiding by any rules of grammar or even supplying any proof or reason for what they say, besides their own testimony.
As to my nickname, I served a very brief time in the Air force, though my name is spelled maEsterseargant, which is a variation of a masterseargant, being a E-7.
My father was a 7 year Navy Nuclear Submarine Veteran, being as he says" the top 1% of the Navy", as submariners are the smartest of the Navy and nuclear submariners are the smartest, the most trained, and the most qualified to do their jobs than any one else in the Navy. He is a pastor, and he equates his time on the USS Finback to Jonah's experience in the belly of a whale, as the USS Finback was named after a whale, and neither my dad nor Jonah knew if they were to ever come ashore and see the light of day, being in the bowels of a whale for an unbearbable amount of time.
My uncle was a crazy rascal in Vietnam, and he has seen a lot in his time, and has had at least a handful of extensive surgeries since then. He was attacked by a rabid dog and had his veins in his arms ripped out, which were later replaced with plastic ones and multiple shots. He once broke the fall of a comrade involuntarily, and when he landed, he was looking at his boot next to his head! Needlesss to say, millitary is everything to him, though his head is a mess sometimes due to what he experienced and was involved in during that time. Both of his sons are military men too, though I haven't seen them in years, but they are in their late 20's, maybe mid 30's with children and families of their own.
My grandfather was in WWII, being an Army Medic, and a even more crazy rascal than his son in 'Nam. Now, he lives with his 5th wife in Georgia or in Florida, as he has a home in Georgia but his wife likes Florida. He just got married just a few years ago, and he is like 84!
