Hello, I am Lori from the midwest. Most folks after knowing me for a brief period of time start calling me 'Mama' I tend to 'mother' everyone!! I am a wife, mother (duh) and 'nana' (the absolute best 'job' ever!!) I agree with Erma Bombeck, had I known grandkids would be this much fun, I'd have had them first! I have been happily married for thirty years, (this December) and have worked in the insurance claims industry (all motor vehicles, boat, home, farm, (not crop insurance), general liability, injury, inland marine, etc.) for 21 years.

I began my insurance claims career as a Subrogation Specialist and 'promoted' to an Adjuster after a year or so, then senior adjuster. I also was a manager of a large body shop for four years. Prior to that (once our 'babies' were in school), I ran a Bait and Tackle shop that my husband I opened in the early to mid eighties, after selling that business I went to work for an insurance company in 1986.

I am currently a property damage (auto) specialist and have been a physcial damage and multi lines liability trainer for many years.

I'm not selling anything, just want to be of assistance where I can, (that 'mothering' thing again)! Insurance in general is very difficult to understand and a confusing issue to the general public. Claims in particular are very stressful, tramatic and cause a lot of anxiety for the parties involved.

It is my ardent hope that I can be of some small assistance to the kind folks seeking answers in this forum.

This website provides a valuable service. And I feel has true empathy for the questioners.

Feel free to post messages to my message board with specifics regarding your questions. I find it difficult many times to give an acurate answer without more details, and request that information in many of my answers if a questioner is so inclined.
