Hi!
At 56 years into my life journey, all spent in Ontario, Canada, I find myself ready for a change again. This restlessness has driven me to dabble in many pursuits over time:

- after doing 10,000 hrs. as an apprentice, I lasted about 20 more years as a licensed diesel mechanic, working on some fairly large and unusual equipment
- during that time, I taught photography for several years in the college Continuing Education system; photographed weddings & a lot of scenery. Had a medium format camera, and after taking a large format course (4x5), thought I'd retire with one even if I had to make it myself!
- my employer steered me towards statistical analysis of maintenance and equipment reliability, then into environmental and quality systems; got proficient in MS Office, including MS Access as a result, as well as document and record control for ISO
- photography faded as a business and passion, only to be replaced by woodworking (not a business, at least, not yet). I prefer to make furniture and cabinets at present but have been known to renovate kitchens, bathrooms and turn basements into rec areas

Music is still an interest, having owned a guitar since I was 13, although I never really mastered it the way I would have liked to. Still, my teenage friends in the band thought I was good. Bless their hearts!

I find I like anything BUT rap, hip-hop, techno and C&W as a rule. "What's left!" you say? Blues (SRV=my favourite) art-rock (Yes, ELP, etc) most rock (I'd say long live Hendrix, Joplin et al, but it's too late for that), R&R, R&B, jazz, most oldies, classical (Mozart and Vivaldi are up there on my list) and some opera. That other stuff is about screaming obscenities, mind-numbing repitition or getting your dog, wife/girlfriend and truck back. Actually, I've heard that's what happens if you play a C&W vinyl record backwards!

My current desire seems to be to retire from my present employer and land a job elsewhere as an environmental coordinator or consultant (they say a change is as good as a rest). So, I'm around if I can assist with:
ISO 9000:2000, ISO14001:2004, quality & environmental management systems
photography (development, printing, theory, etc.)
renovations & simple construction
woodworking
As for music, anything you'd care to discuss would likely only be my opinion and not much in the way of help.
