Hello There!

So you want to know a little about me huh? Well lets see....
I like to learn, I like to play, and I like doing things that make me feel good about me.
I am a great internal auditor, a decent painter, and my husband prefers fast food over my cooking (yay! No dishes to wash!).

I detest the media, havent watched, listened to or read the news in some 15 years now. I loath most television shows, movies, gossip well basically anything pop culture related.
I'm really picky about the shoes I'll wear and the purses I carry.

Too specific?
OK I'll back it up. Things I know about:
~ I am an experienced ferret rescuer. I find ferrets (or rather ferrets find me) that are in need of rehabilitation, medical attention, and a good home outside of the state.
I arrange for their accommodations, care, and placement.

~ I know how to audit accounts to death which earned me more than one unkind nickname in my professional career. Accurate, thurough and deadly, triple threat! ;-)

~ I have studied with several local artist over the last several years as an oil painter. My paintings havent paid the bills although their sales have helped to fund the ferret rescues.

~ For several years (moonlighting) I arranged car shows and automotive events specifically for the WRX (its a Subaru), the Civic (that Honda) as well as for the NSX (Expensive Honda err I mean Acura).

And lastly, most recently, I regained my addiction to being healthy.
I was an athlete as a teenager. I learned the hard way that when you stop working out you need to also stop eating. However 10 years later I was a size 28 and nearly 300 lbs.
Without surgery. Without drugs. Without Diet Pills!!! I lost over 100 lbs in 13 months.
Armed with nothing more than some militant will power, sheer determination, 3 hours of personal training a week, 2 hours of pilates class a week, and 90 minutes of walking fast enough to sweat.... I did it.
I cut fried foods out of my diet, I gave up soda. But I enjoyed everything else I wanted to eat. All the cakes, pies, chocolate, and icecream I want so long as I am done with 5 fruits, 5 veggies, 5-10 grain servings, 3 oz of fish, and 1 handful of nuts, have finished my 2 liters of water, 2 cups a green tea. And whatever else it is that I am going to eat for the day.

13 months later I'm down more than 100 lbs, with 20 lbs to go, and have a lot of experience with regaining health from being sedentary.

Also I have a few genetic hickups which I often answer questions on.
Low blood pressure (102/58 - 107/64)
Low resting heart rate (54-65ish)
Low body/basal/core temp. (96.8 - 97.2)
Low respiratory rate (8-10/min)
Low tidal volume (how deep a breath you take)
I also have a genetic balanced translocation, maybe it explains all that, or maybe everyone is correct and I'm not normal.

:-p
