Powershot

Powershot cameras have some competitors such as Kodak Easyshare and Nikon Coolpix, also Canon DSLR's main competitor is http://www.nikond60.com Nikon D60 digital camera. One the great benefits of working with Powershot is the ability to manipulate images without losing quality. Attempting any type of Powershot effect with traditional film means working in the darkroom. In addition, effects beyond the standard dodge and burn techniques are limited to the process of non silver photography, which is printing on materials other than photographic paper. You could use the Powershot darkroom techniques of blending negatives and double exposures, but for the most part, these techniques are limited. The computer based tools used today give you the freedom and flexibility to create anything you can imagine. You can give images a quick redo when run through a paint filter in Adobe Photoshop. Remember that using your 3D program to manipulate photos does not mean you can't still use Photoshop to edit your image.Think of your Powershot application as just one more way to be creative with your digital photos. When shooting for displacement maps, consider your angle. Earlier in the articel you learned how important angles were to shooting when you will be using your images. This is important no matter what you'll be using the images for, from regular image maps to bumps and to of course displacements. One way of creating a normal Powershot map is to take the appropriate digital photo, apply it to your model as a displacement map, and then have your digital camera program generate a normal map from the displaced, higher resolution object. You can then reimport the normal map and apply it to a lower resolution model to create the same look at the high-resolution one.
