Patti is the owner of two businesses in Humboldt County, CA and a part time employee of LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired (www.lighthouse-sf.org). In 1996, after 20 years in the aerospace industry, Rose retired from her position as a technical analyst to get her degree in Scientific and Technical Writing at Humboldt State University. She has invented the EasyPondVac (www.easypondvac.com) a water-powered pond vacuum and has published articles both on the internet and in Ponds USA, a nationally distributed magazine.
As owner of Rosepond Aquatics (www.rosepond.com) Patti does pond maintenance, clear water consulting, and grows pond plants including over 120 varieties of hardy water lilies.
As owner of Rose Communication Services (www.rosecoms.com) she and her husband, Doug, teach daily living skills and adaptive technology to the visually impaired in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties. Yes, Doug is blind.
Patti has been ponding since the mid 1960's so she has over 40 years of ponding experience.
