I attended university from 1997 to 2001 to complete a Bachelor of Science (BSc), majoring in biochemistry. I funded my undergraduate education by working as a labourer and small equipment operator for a highway paving company during my summer holidays. Following my undergraduate program I worked as a molecular biology lab technician with the federal government for one year as part of a cooperative education program.

In 2002 I left to travel in Australia, where I spent six months as a landscaper at Watsons Bay Navy Base, and another six months travelling around. Following my return home I worked as a quality assurance technician at a food processing plant and as a waiter until I figured out what to do with myself.

I enrolled and was accepted into a graduate program in 2004 and spent two and a half years attaining a Masters of Science (MSc), with a double major in molecular biology and biochemistry. It was during this time that I met my Wife, a fellow graduate student completing her PhD in neuroscience.

I completed my MSc requirements and defended my thesis in 2007 before accepting a job as a biologist for the Canadian federal government. I left this job in 2008 to start a four year doctorate in chiropractic, and to finally begin my journey towards involvement in the field of health-care. Following completion of my chiropractic doctorate I hope to follow my Wife's footsteps a little and enroll in a PhD program with a focus in neuroscience. I am interested in examining some of the neurological reflexes that may underlie the effectiveness of spinal manipulation.

My #2 dream is to have a part-time chiropractic practice and part-time research career while living in a new home with a huge greenhouse. My #1 dream is to one day make it to silver contributer on wiki answers (5000 contributions?...I know, keep dreaming).
