I was very fortunate to have served in the US Navy between Korea and Vietnam, not by choice but happenstance.
After working in many fields I decided to go to college at the ripe old age of 29. While there I was president of a business fraternity, earned my BofA in Business and my MBA. On graduation, I was elected president of the alumni association. I taught Money & Banking at the community college and Real Estate at the university. I became the state's first Commissioner of Consumer Affairs, until change of governors. After state service I worked in several industries (to avoid conflict with previous state work).
After retiring 6 years ago, I've spent time searching the Internet for something to contribute my knowledge and experience to. I checked out money-making programs but became disillusioned with all the scams, etc. My background is in uncovering fraud and illegal activities as well as helping people with their problems.
WikiAnswers has become a good home, if I can help it become productive and beneficial to as many people as possible. I don't care for trivia and non-sense but enjoy humor, good logical discussion and education. I think I'm an information junkie!
I'm the father of 6 (one deceased), ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and was married to the same wonderful woman for 53 years, until she passed on 9/16/11, after a long struggle with cancer. We have two Yorkies, three cats, and a double yellow-headed parrot.
WA has humongous potential, if it doesn't get bogged down with vandalism, plagiarism, cyberbullying, and too much unintelligent activity. If we work together it can become a trend-setting vehicle to transform the planet and inform its inhabitants with all the good things in life. Viva WA!!! Have a Great Day!!!!
