(Self Portrait)

My Latest Drawing!

I just finished this one! It's a pastel drawing of my little Lucky. He seems to like it ;) I got some cheep pastels to do this drawing, as I didn't have the right colours. Lucky is a very odd coloured little doggy! It's an A3 drawing, so far to big to fit in the scanner, so I've had to take a photo of it. Unfortunately the top left corner is darker than all the rest... But there isn't anything I can do about that now ;) You'll just have to put up with that and enjoy! Anyway, here's the drawing! I hope you like it!

Hi everyone! I'm a senior supervisor here on WikiAnswers!
I'm totally addicted and love helping out!

When I'm not here, I can usually be found reading, painting or drawing.
I have a degree in fine art and run a very small, and practically non-existent pet portrait business in my spare time.

I love to read! My favourite authors are Charles Dickens, George Orwell, and H G Wells.

I love to draw and paint. I'm unable to work at the moment because I have arthritis and chronic pain, so I have lots of time for painting and drawing!

As an artist, I'll draw anything! But my great love is animals. I have been drawing animals for years and my little dog, Lucky, is often the subject. Well, when he sits his naughty puppy tail down for more than a few seconds that is...

So I'm proud to be a Spat!!

It's that time again!! NEW DRAWING TIME! Yay^^ This is a new drawing that was featured on no.stupid.answers for an interview all about me! The interview can be found at: http://www.nostupidanswers.com/2008/06/23/stupid-little-genius-nothing-to-sneeze-at/ Now for the drawing! I've always loved giraffes, something about them is just so elegant and awe inspiring! It's sad to the that these wonderful creatures are going extinct...

Mysterious Tigers

There are just some great Supers here on WikiAnswers, and so one of the best and brightest asks for a drawings, I'm only too happy to oblige! So this is for Mr. Mystery, to say thanks for all you do, and for being a great friend! You make WikiAnswers a fantastic place and every single day full of happiness!!!

I hope you like your Tigers!!

For an SPA!

This one is for Spottedtail http://wiki.answers.com/Q/User:Spottedtail They are really doing a great job, so when she asked for this drawing I was only too happy to oblige! Thanks for all your hard work, Spottedtail! Hope you like your drawing!

Cotton Top Tamarin!

This one is for
Purpleo elephant!! I hope you like it! I stayed up late last night drawing it! While drawing, I watched a film... A scary film... 2am, all dark outside, all alone... Probably not the best time to watch scary films O_o Still at least you all got a new drawing out of it!! Enjoy!!

Horsey!!

After the scary film (see above Tamarin) I decided to go with some nice cutesie movies! So while watching Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, and Megamind, I drew a horsey! I don't know why I picked a horsey... But he's a cute little fella so it doesn't really matter!!

Kitten!!

This poor little kitten wasn't meant to be a tabby cat... But that's just the way he turned out! I guess that a leopard can't change its spots any more than this kitty could change from being a Tabby!! It's just how he wanted to be!! Whatever his breed, he's still kawaii!! Hope you all like him!

Ferret!

This one is for
Charleswoodard, who asked me to draw a ferret for them. It's only a quick sketch, but I hope you like it anyway!!

Dolphins!!

This one's for Yaofamily, who asked for some dolphins! Hope you like them!

Big thanks to YaoFamily for making me this super great badge! Isn't it purdy!! I love it ;)

Something new!

As I said somewhere below, I was always told that I couldn't draw people by my teachers at school. To cut a long story short, I was meant to draw a self portrait for some school work, it turnout out really bad, so I draw a little boy I found in a book instead and when asked why it didn't look like me, I passed it off as a cousin of mine. The teacher was not impressed with either me, or "Jimmy", and after that she told me not to draw people again, ever. And for many years I believed her, and I never even tried, but then I woke up a couple of days ago and though "Hmm... I want to draw people... And not just any people..."

So, here is it! In honour of Pope Benedict XVI visit to the UK this year. I hope you'll like it.

Homeless

As said above and somewhere below (And yes, I really do need to organise my profile better!) I've not had much practice with drawing people until a few month ago, when I suddenly thought "huh, why not draw people? They aren't that much different to animals after all..." And so, the day before my birthday, inspiration kinda struck again (so to those of you still waiting for me to finish your requests, but when inspiration strikes, it's impossible to ignore!) and this was the result!

Seagulls!
Aren't Seagulls purdy? Some people think they are pests, but I love them! There is nothing better than watching seagulls soaring through the sky or waking up to hearing their cries! They are just fantastic birds! And so free! So here's a very quick water colour of a Seagull! It's a preliminary for a slightly larger drawing with three birdies. This one was done on cheapo paper so please excuse the quality! It was all I had to hand!

Fennec Foxes!

Drawn for a very special friend of mine as preliminary for a painting. I've hurt my hand so it's not my best work, but I still like it^^ And I hope you all like it too!! So here are my two little Fennec Foxes. They are such Kawaii animals!!

An Oldy But a Goody!

When Plethora asked me to draw a butterfly, I remembered a piece that I did a few years back. I took a photo of some flowers and then painted on a butterfly! My art teacher didn't even realize that it was a painting!! She thought it was just a photo ;) This scan doesn't show it in its true light. But I hope every one likes it! So without further ado!! This one is for Plethora!!

Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger

Some one very special loved my work so much they asked me for a commission! And they were kind enough to let me who it to you guys too! It's another pen and ink and a very big challenge! I've never done wood before^^ It's not super brilliant (he looks a little fat) but still good. I hope you all like it as much as he did!

Cute Koala

This is again a recreation of an earlier work, that someone very special fell in love with and asked for a recreation to be done. Hope you'll like the little guy!!

Watercolour!
This is my newest watercolour. Three little baby owls. I got a big book of photos of baby animals and another on wildlife! Still need ideas on which ones to draw though...

Song Thrush
There is nothing better than waking up to the dawn chorus! All the little birds singing their hearts out, waiting for the sun to rise, brighting up the dim hours before the light dawns the earth! Blackbirds have got to be my favourite, but Mr Song Thrush comes a close second! So, here's a little pen and ink tribute for that beautiful morning song!

Tiki Toucan!
Little Tiki Toucan, sitting on a branch! Yes... I named him... Why did I name him Tiki?? I have no idea... But the alliteration sounds good ;) So Say Hi to Tiki Toucan everyone!

----BONUS DRAWING----
This one was painted last night, it continues the horsey theme. This is a pretty little foal running around. He's so cute!! Animals are always cuter when they are young!

My Little Lucky Dog!
This is a drawing for my own pleasure^^ It's my Dog, Lucky. He's nearly 3 years old now, but still acts like a puppy. He's very friendly and cute^^

DOGGY PAINTING!
Here is a painting I forgot to put up after I completed it! This is a painting of a 6 month old puppy called, Millie! The colour of her coat is now completely different now she is older! But she is a really sweety!

SUPER EXTRA DRAWING TIME!!
This pet portrait was requested by Robin (a senior supervisor here on WikiAnswers) and is of her lovely dog Lady (also known as Gertie). She's a real beauty and I really enjoyed painting her!!

One More Drawing This one was partner to the tiger above. My mum thought tiger was a little lonely on the wall so asked for a friend for him. Again I wasn't able to spray this one and had to take photo, so the quality isn't that good.

=== Here's one I've never tried before! ===
I was asked the other day, why I don't have any drawings of people on here. I was always told at school that I couldn't draw faces or people very well, so I never really tried! But I thought I'd give it a go ;) Here is the result!! Don't know who they are, but they were in the TV guide ;) It was only a very quick sketch (took about 30 minutes), and it's on very rough paper. Also, I don't have any good pencils left so I had to use a nasty cheapy pencil... But they are alright I guess...

NEW MEDIA!!
I've finally got the nib on my pen unblocked so I can once again draw in pen and ink!! Here is a drawing of a little harvest mouse. They are so small and cute!!

Retro Section ;)

Ok I have been so busy of late that I have not had time to produce any more good work... I'm really really sorry! And that means that I haven't added much on here! So you need to thank AreaBlue22 for the kick up the backside in getting these added ;) If he hadn't have asked for more, I wouldn't have put these up ;)

I promise to try harder and get some new stuff done!! But to keep you all occupied, here are some older pieces from uni!

This one is years old! It's one of my first real paintings so not up to the standard I am now ;) Yet I still love it!! I'm now working on a large tiger, so hopefully this will wet your appetite for that ;)

At Uni I looked into animals and the whole human vs nature thing, so had to look into different ways of presenting my work. One of the more interesting ways was on wood, parts of trees and bark. This one is a tree frog, on an old tree that fell during a storm. I vanished the wood, so it didn't photograph too well, but I hope you like it anyway! I can tell ya, it's really hard work painting on part of a tree!!

Next are my leaves^^ I love my leaves! It was a series of paintings about the fragility of nature. I coated the leaves in a special vanish so amazingly even after 2 years they are still as green and fresh as the day I painted them! This is Mr Zebra, I actually sold this one! £10 straight in my pocket ;) Yet, I miss the little guy... I get way to precious over my work ;) I never like to let them go!

And this one was Miss Zebra, the second go to replace the one I sold ;) There were a hold other bunch of animals, Tigers, Sand cats, a whole zoo! But this one is my favourite! They were all hung on a branch like real leaves, tied on with Hessian.

Remember, if you want to know more about Giraffes, Horses, Foals, Dogs or any other animals, then ask a question at the top of this site!! And please if you have any idea as to what to draw LET ME KNOW! I'm really low on ideas right now!

I'll change these drawings every so often so please check back! And if you have a favourite you'd like to see here, leave a message on my board! You never know, it might be the next one to appear ;)

Love to everyone in WikiLand,

-x-
