Guidelines for WikiGreen members:

There are various tasks you can do. Pick and choose your own. I can suggest things if you like:
  • Work in any of the topics in Environmental Issues (http://wiki.answers.com/Q/FAQ/2500). Choose your topic, then click on the Unanswered questions link.
  • Rewrite questions in a more grammatical way. For example, change "How do oil affect the global warming?" could be changed to "How does using oil affect global warming?" (If you find that's already a question, just click the Recommend Merge button.)
  • Reclassify questions. For example, the question "What is a tom tom tomato?" should be moved out of the Green Living category. Click the "Edit categories" button and choose Fruit and Vegetable Gardening instead of Green Living.
  • Edit alternates. This means opening all the alternates to a question by clicking the "Edit alternates" button in the blue box on the left, and moving out an alt that doesn't belong there. Please talk to me before you do this. Here's a link to a step by step guide on what to do. (http://tinyurl.com/d6mkfl)
  • Answer questions. See the guidelines below on answering questions.
  • Send me a message at the end of every month about what you have been doing. Feel free to message me any time. Remember I am in Australia, so I'm not always on when you are. My email is on my profile page if you want to email.

Guidelines for answering questions:

  1. Ordinary WikiGreen members should only answer unanswered questions, or add new answers to existing answers. That means no deleting of any answers. If you think an answer should be deleted, send a message to me (BrebnerP. Link above).
  2. Read the question very carefully. Many of the questions ask for opinions. If that is so, then different opinions are allowed. A question might ask "Is global warming real?" If someone has answered "No, it's not real", then that is their opinion. You can add your opinion underneath.
  3. All answers must focus on the question.
  • You may not argue with a previous answer.
  • Don't get distracted by another answer.
  • Just answer the question calmly.
  • You can write politely on the discussion pages.

I'll monitor your work and make some suggestions, tell you how good you are and other useful things. Keep in touch with me and other members. Have a great time!
